Sub for Santa is an annual fundraiser organized by Weber Human Services Foundation and well-known throughout the community. The Foundation accepts monetary donations and encourages the community to “adopt” Weber Human Services families in the program. The generosity of the local community makes Christmas a magical time of year for hundreds of children.

Sub for Santa is available to children involved in the youth programs at the agency as well as to the children of adult clients.

How to I qualify to receive gifts in the Sub for Santa program?

Someone in the immediate household has to be a current client at Weber Human Services. Therapists and case managers work with clients to fill out applications starting October 1 every year. The employees at the agency submit applications to the Foundation Office. Families are eligible every two years.

For example, if a family received gifts in 2022 or 2023, they would not be eligible in 2024. They would need to wait to apply again in 2025. Other area Christmas assistance programs are available through Community Christmas, United Way of Northern Utah, Toys for Tots, and the Christmas Box in Ogden.
